Taylor Mignon is a poet, editor, translator and university lecturer living in Saitama. He teaches a Kenneth Rexroth seminar at Rikkyo University and Creative Writing at Keio and Musashi Universities. He co-edited Poesie Yaponesia: A Bilingual Anthology (Printed Matter Press, 2000), coedited and co-translated Distant Frogs: Selected Senryu by Gengor (The Hokuseido Press, 2007), and led the translation and editing of Bearded Cones and Pleasure Blades: The Collected Poems of Torii Sh z (highmoonoon, 2013). He is co-founding editor of Tokyo Poetry Journal, responsible for a special book-length issue on Japan and the Beats, and in 2017 for an issue on Butoh dance and Japanese modernism. His translations are slated to appear in an upcoming anthology of Japanese experimental poetry of the twentieth century (New Directions, 2022). See less
