Takesha Powell (1973- ) was born in Suffern, New York. Always having enjoyed writing, she won her 1st County-wide playwriting competition in the 6th grade. From that time on, she has written for numerous magazines, including "Honey" "Black Elegance" and "The Aquarian Weekly".
