Takesha D Powell

Takesha Powell, a New York City native is the former Managing Editor of "Black Elegance" and "Belle" magazines as well as former Editor-in-Chief of "Jive / Intimacy" magazines. Ms Powell has two self-published books: an anthology of poetry entitled "Tender Headed: Poems For Nappy Thoughts I Left Uncombed," and a novel, "The Goode Sisters," Her next work, "The Sisterhood Commandments: A Novella" is due for release August 2005. She resides both in New York and New Jersey with her daughter.
