Takashi Kato
Takashi Kato is a full professor at the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo since 2000. After receiving his Ph.D. degree at the University of Tokyo in 1988 he did his postdoctoral research at Cornell University on supramolecular liquid crystals and polymers. Takashi Kato is a full professor at the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo since 2000. After receiving his Ph.D. degree at the University of Tokyo in 1988 he did his postdoctoral research at Cornell University on supramolecular liquid crystals and polymers. His research focuses on self-assembled functional materials including supramolecular liquid crystals, stimuli- and environment-responsive self-organized materials, and biomineralization-inspired organic/inorganic hybrids.
