T. Scott Bryan received a BS in geology at San Diego State University (1972) and a MS in geology at the University of Montana (1974). He worked for the National Park Service as a mining geologist in Death Valley National Monument and also held positions with Glacier National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Los Angeles Field Office, and Yellowstone National Park.
