Dr. Sue Clifton is a retired educator, fly fisher, ghost hunter, and published author. She loves all things vintage and travels the U.S. with her 1950 Comet camper "Spam I Am" with her national sister group Sisters on the Fly. Dr. Sue began her writing career at age sixteen with the publishing of two plays. Her writing career was put on hold while she traveled the world with her husband Woody in his career as well as with her own career as a teacher and school administrator in Mississippi, Alaska, New Zealand, and on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. The places where Dr. Sue has lived provide rich background for the novels she creates. Dr. Sue now divides her time among Montana, Mississippi and Arkansas with Woody, and she loves to share traveling and adventures with her grandchildren whenever possible. THE HAWK AND THE DEER is the second of five published novels written by Dr. Sue, and the end is nowhere in sight. Ten percent of Dr. Sue's book sales goes to Casting for Recovery, a national organization that provides fly fishing retreats for survivors of breast cancer. See less
