Stephen P. Hinshaw is a professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley and the vice-chair of psychology at UC San Francisco. He is the author of several books, including The Mark of Shame: Stigma of Mental Illness and an Agenda for Change , the first book in the United States on mental illness stigma.
