Solace is from East New York, Brooklyn but was raised from the age of 10 to 17 years old in the Polo Ground projects. She has always been a big dreamer and very determined in achieving anything she put her mind to. Solace wanted to be a fashion designer from a young age, but due to certain circumstances, she could not pursue that dream. She later went into studying in the medical field, aspiring to become a pediatrician. Solace decided to become an author instead. She first started writing poetry at the age of 13 and it became a sort of therapy for her. She started to take it seriously when she began to publish her creative inner thoughts on poetry.com. Her passion for writing expanded as she started going through situations in her life that continued to expand her need to creatively release. She named her latest book You Think Blood Is Thicker Than Water because it's about two brothers who allow the evilness of drugs and money to interfere in the bond of blood. This book was written to give the youth the raw and uncut dilemmas of easy money. See less
