Sibilla Hershey

Sibilla Hershey was born in Riga, Latvia, and traveled to the United States at fifteen years old as a World War II displaced person. This is her first memoir about her experience of leaving her home and coming to a new land as a refugee. Hershey has had her work published in Family Process , Sacramento News and Review , Tule Review , the Anthology of Honoring Motherhood , and other regional literary publications. She has written and published a book of poetry titled The Bleeding Tree .
