Sian Adams has been a teacher and advisory teacher for early years. An interest in exploring practitioners' reflective thinking was developed during her PhD at Leicester University, which investigated the ways in which practitioners approached the issues of responding to young children. Janet Moyles is Emeritus Professor of Education at Anglia Polytechnic University and an early years consultant. She began her interest in young children through the playgroup movement before training as a teacher.
