SHUNTARO TANIKAWA has produced some sixty books of poetry and won every major Japanese award for his writing. In 1988 an English translation of his work received the American Book Award. He has been translated into fifteen languages. He writes video, radio and film scripts and plays for children. He is the translator of Mother Goose and Peanuts. WILLIAM I.
