Sheila Baxter
Sheila Baxter is an anti-poverty activist who had been involved with poverty issues since 1970. Her work has led to the publication of four books: "No Way to Live: Poor Women Speak Out", "A Child Is Not a Toy", "Under the Viaduct: Homeless in Beautiful BC" and "Still Raising Hell: Poverty, Activism and Other True Stories". She received the first VanCity Book Prize for best BC book pertaining to women's issues for "Under the Viaduct". She lives in Vancouver.
