Shawn Black, an author in the Urban Fiction Literary World, is the Author of the Trilogy Series, Stick & Move. Although a resident of North Carolina, Shawn has lived in both North Carolina and South Carolina, and was born in Bronx, New York. It would be through life's experiences and a journey during a stint in federal prison that would help Shawn tap into exceptional talent as a writer of novel and screenplays. While serving an 11 1/2 year prison bid, Shawn's eyes began to open wide as he had come to the realization that he had lost many opportunities that could have been available to him had he chosen a different path. Having seen disparity in the eyes of people close to him, the same kind of disparity that makes on e feel that, there is NO WAY OUT, Shawn used these compelling thoughts as drive and dedicated his time to turn those very same thoughts into words. The only consolation to a prison term is the internal strength that a person gain while exploring their inner soul and recognizing the errors of their ways and what it takes to turn it around. Eight books later, three which are published, four movie scripts and one independent short film under his belt, Shawn has taken the time to hone this remarkable talent and use this unique ability to communicate issues that plague our society every day.
