Sharon K. Ferrett has over forty-five years of experience in higher education as a college and university dean, director, professor and academic advisor. She is also a management consultant and a small business owner who brings this "real world" perspective to her presentations and books, Peak Performance, ninth edition (McGraw-Hill, 2014), Positive Attitudes at Work (Irwin, 1994), Strategies: College and Career Success (Irwin 1996). Sharon is a popular speaker on a variety of topics including; Working with Difficult People, Team Building, Motivation, Communication, Business Etiquette and Leadership, Creativity, Forgiveness, Peak Aging, Writing Memoir, Learning Styles and Skills, and Stress Management. Sharon received her B.A. and M.A. in communication from Western Michigan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She received her Ph.D. in higher education administration and organizational communication from Michigan State University. She also did graduate work at the University of Michigan, University of Edinburgh and University of London.
