Shameek Sen is an Assistant Professor (Law) at NUJS. He specialises in public law disciplines such as constitutional law and media law. Shameek Sen is an Assistant Professor (Law) at NUJS. He specialises in public law disciplines such as constitutional law and media law. He also takes keen interest in human rights, public health law, water law and environmental law. After graduating from NUJS in 2005 as a part of the very first graduating batch of the university and finishing his LLM in 2007 (where he won the prestigious Nani Palkhivala Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in his batch), Sen joined as an Assistant Professor in NUJS. He completed his MPhil in the year 2008 and PhD in the year 2017. His doctoral thesis was titled 'Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression with Special Reference to Decency and Morality'. He has published journal articles and book chapters on many areas of law, and is presently writing a casebook on constitutional law.
