Shahri Masters was raised in a large blended family where she was "related by divorce" to most of her siblings. As the oldest child, Shahri became the storyteller as a way to entertain the younger kids. Her stories started with the strange and wonderful people she was surrounded with, her family, showing the value of each one and the influences they had on her. As she grew up, she gravitated to relationship style professions, starting in construction, branching out to waiting tables and bartending, office management, real estate, and coming full circle back to the construction business. Her stories expanded to include subcontractors, workers, customers, clients, and friends. She even added stories about people she didn't know who had made an impact on her. Shahri found those stories, those relationships, were molding her into the woman she is today. Shahri married the love of her life and has a brilliant and beautiful daughter, a grumpy cat plus a kitten, and a jumbled garden. She lives at Lake Tahoe, where she grew up, and has kept her friendships since childhood. She loves extreme travel with carry-on luggage and no itinerary, living in the moment, not knowing the language, drinking in coffee houses and going to the laundromat. Her style is to blend into the society where she is a guest. Her travel goal is to hear "excuse me, do you speak English?" See less
