Seven's first demonstration of creative writing was not well-received and disappointingly so. In fact, her parents were horrified as they read her discerning prose neatly written in permanent ink on the living room wall. Seven's continued attempts to impress her parents were greeted with similar negative responses until she scaled down her style and began to use paper instead. At the age of 12, Seven was named editor of the school paper. Her work was in print and the young writer was beside herself. This was to be the modest beginning of a life-long career.
