Prior to her time in Rapid City, she worked as a petroleum engineer for Packer's Plus Energy Services, Anadarko Petroleum Corp., and Marathon Oil Company in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, and finally in the Bakken in North Dakota.
