A native of McLean, Virginia, Scott McBride became inspired to write children's books while attending graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His stories focus on things he truly loves: the Lord, boats, and the sea. An award-winning author, Scott is a 1998 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a Master's Degree in Mass Communication from the UNC School of Media and Journalism.
