Schulz

Charles M. Schulz (1922-2000) was America's most beloved and influential cartoonist. A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Schulz served in Europe during World War II. He drew his Peanuts comic strip for almost 50 years. When he retired in 1999, Peanuts was carried in 2600 newspapers worldwide. Schulz was honored posthumously in 2001 with the Congressional Gold Medal.
