Throughout her 20 year career, she has practiced clinically in various settings ranging from inner-city trauma centers to rural hospitals in the developing world. She is an accomplished artist whose work has been featured in The National Academy of Medicine, Intima: The Journal of Narrative Medicine and the Frederic Jameson Gallery at Duke University.
