Samir Younes is Professor of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame, where he was Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Rome Studies. Younes' projects and essays on architecture and aesthetics have appeared in 'Architectural Design', 'The Journal of the Royal Institute of Philosophy', 'The Journal of Urban Design', 'Archi e Colonne International', 'Quadri e Sculture' and 'American Arts Quarterly'. In 1993, Younes designed the monument for the Cornerstone laying ceremony for the Bicentennial of the U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C.
