Rosa Walston Latimer is the author of six historical non-fiction books, a playwright and an award-winning photographer. Rosa was the Flower Hill Urban Homestead Museum, Austin, Texas Writer-in-Residence, 2020-2021. The story of her Harvey Girl grandmother sparked her interest in preserving women's history and inspired her to write her first book, Harvey Houses of Texas: Historic Hospitality from the Gulf Coast to the Panhandle followed by Harvey Houses of New Mexico, Harvey Houses of Kansas, and Harvey Houses of Arizona - all published by The History Press.
