Ronald Roberts grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He developed an intense interest in jazz at an early age and began his professional career at age 15. Ronald Roberts grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He developed an intense interest in jazz at an early age and began his professional career at age 15. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1960 and Kansas City Junior College in 1962 (History). He attended the University Of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Ronald's jazz career took him all over the country and spanned four decades. His writing began early in his music career. He wrote music reviews for the Kansas City Star, City Lights Magazine, Shelter Newspaper, and The Westport Trucker. Ron began writing fiction in earnest in the mid-eighties as his music career ebbed and left him more time. He has written four books, two fiction and two non-fiction. An Anarchist Lullaby is his first novel. Ronald is completely retired from music, but is very active in writing. He has lived in Lenexa, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City with his family and cats the past twenty-five years. See less
