Roberto Luque Escalona was born in Holguin, Cuba in 1936. He attended the University of Havana School of Law, but interrupted those studies during the final years of the Batista regime. He resumed his studies in the field of history at UNAM, the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Roberto Luque Escalona was born in Holguin, Cuba in 1936. He attended the University of Havana School of Law, but interrupted those studies during the final years of the Batista regime.
