Robert H. Kargon is Willis K. Shepard Professor of the History of Science in the department of history of science and technology, Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of numerous books including The Rise of Robert Millikan: Portrait of a Life in American Science, Atomism in England from Hariot to Newton and Invented Edens: Techno-Cities of the Twentieth Century (with Arthur P. Molella).
