Robert John Goddard was born in London in 1952. He has a BA in the History of the Middle East, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Marketing, and a Masters Degree in Education. He has lived and worked in Italy, Portugal, Jordan and Germany. All of his novels contain elements of his experiences in these places.
