Robb Swanlund is an award-winning artist from Minnesota. Over the years, he has received recognition and acclaim for his work in local art shows, most notably Best In Show for Deteriorate and 2nd place for a portrait of Christ and sin adjacent to one another, entitled Bore Our Sins. It was clear from the beginning that art would play an integral role in Robb's life. As a young man, Robb was inspired by the works of H.R. Giger and Stephen Gammell. Emulating the intricate style of these artists, Robb took to drawing as a means to acknowledge his negative thoughts and move past them. His artwork may not always appear spiritual in nature, but it sheds light on the human experience of grappling with depression and spirituality.
