Richard Piers Rayner illustrated the 300 pages of the graphic novel, Road to Perdition over a four year period, a labour of love that led to the faithful screen adaptation by Sam Mendes and starring Tom Hanks. Rayner's previous credits for DC Comics included work on Hellblazer, Batman, Swamp Thing and LEGION. For Marvel he illustrated Doctor Who, X-Men and Captain America among others.
