Richard Crompton is Senior Lecturer at Huddersfield University. He is the Course Leader for the MSc Global Supply Chain Management qualification. He managed a distance learning course targeted at operations and project managers within major supply chain companies. He wrote the teaching manuals for this which have been used in a variety of colleges across the country and has designed specialist training courses aligned to specific company requirements. Before joining the University Richard worked in a variety of major companies within industry for thirteen years. These roles included the Logistics Projects Manager for Hallmark Holdings, Operations Manager for Argos Plc and different consultancy projects. He firmly believes that industrial experience is essential to support teaching this applied subject and develop transferable skills. See less
