Richard C. Saylor was the founding president of the Dallastown Area Historical Society (DAHS) and has been employed as an archivist and curator since 1991. Richard C. Saylor was the founding president of the Dallastown Area Historical Society (DAHS) and has been employed as an archivist and curator since 1991. He is the author of numerous articles about Pennsylvania history, and his book Soldiers to Governors: Pennsylvania's Civil War Veterans Who Became State Leaders won an Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History in 2010. Michael L. Sentz Jr. was raised in Dallastown and was the first vice president of its historical society. Using photographs from the archives of DAHS as well as contributions from residents, they have compiled this volume to preserve the town's history for future generations. See less
