Rene Maurice Koenders (1978) was born in Bussum, The Netherlands. He grew up bilingual, since his Dutch family emigrated to South Africa in 1981 where he attended an English primary school. The family returned to The Netherlands in 1990. Koenders started writing as a child and relished written assignments at school, especially creative writing. In his spare time he wrote short stories and dreamed of one day writing a novel. He worked as a researcher and editor for thirteen years, before starting his own video production company in 2014. Relieved of nine-to-five workdays his creativity blossomed and he began writing stories, articles and biographies. Encouraged by positive feedback from friends and colleagues, he decided to finally pursue his dream of publishing a book. In 2016 he released the gay romance novel Everything Falls Into Place. Hearing his surname often mispronounced outside his native country, he elected to drop it and publish under his first and middle name only. Koenders lives in Hilversum, The Netherlands with his husband." See less
