Reginald Scot
Reginald Scot (or Scott) (c. 1538 - 9 October 1599) was a member of the aristocracy of England who opposed the persecution of people under the charge of witchcraft. As part of his campaign against this persecution, he compiled "The Discoverie of Witchcraft", composed of actual magic spells and other practices, in order to reveal them as not being effective or harmful.
