Randolph Thomas grew up in western Virginia and attended Radford University and the University of Arkansas, where he received an MFA in Creative Writing. Also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, he has performed solo and in rock and roll and folk bands in Virginia, Arkansas, and Louisiana. He teaches at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
