Ralph D. Mawdsley is the Roslyn Z. Wolf Professor of Urban Educational Leadership at Cleveland State University, where he teaches School Law, Special Education Law and Sports Law. Ralph D. Mawdsley is the Roslyn Z. Wolf Professor of Urban Educational Leadership at Cleveland State University, where he teaches School Law, Special Education Law and Sports Law. In addition to his responsibilities at Cleveland State University, he is the Visiting Fulbright Professor of Law and Education, University of Pretoria, Visiting Professor of Education Law, North-West University, Vaal Triangle, South Africa, Visiting Professor of Education Law, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia, and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Regent University School of Law. He is a member of, and maintains an active involvement in, the South African Education Law Association (SAELA) and the Australia/New Zealand Education Law Association (ANZELA). He is the author of more than 500 publications on a wide range of education law areas and serves on numerous refereed journal editorial boards. In 2001-2002, he was the President of the Education Law Association (ELA) and, in 2004, received that organization's Marion McGhehey Award for outstanding service to the field of education law. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and is admitted to practice law in both Illinois and Minnesota. Dr. Mawdsley also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Minneapolis, Minnesota. See less
