Radine Trees Nehring's career as a writer began in 1986 when her many magazine and newspaper features about the Arkansas Ozarks began appearing in the United States and abroad. For ten years she also researched, wrote, and hosted a weekly radio program, Arkansas Corner Community News. Radine Trees Nehring's career as a writer began in 1986 when her many magazine and newspaper features about the Arkansas Ozarks began appearing in the United States and abroad. For ten years she also researched, wrote, and hosted a weekly radio program, Arkansas Corner Community News. Her first book, Dear Earth: A Love Letter from Spring Hollow, earned the Arkansas Governor's Award for Best Writing About the State, among other honors. The opening novel in her Ozarks "To Die For" mystery series appeared in 2002. The series has earned over twenty-five national and regional awards, including a Macavity nomination, several "best" contest wins from the Oklahoma Writers' Federation, and a national Silver Falchion from Killer Nashville. She was chosen as the 2011 inductee into the Arkansas Writers' Hall of Fame. Radine's continuing mystery novel series features warmly appealing characters who believe in fighting on behalf of those burdened by trouble and danger. Her stories also share her knowledge of Arkansas's most interesting destinations and events. Radine and her husband live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. See less
