John Bracey has published widely in the field of African American history and was one of the pioneering figures in the construction of the new black history. Some of his publications include "Black Nationalism in America" (1970) and "Strangers and Neighbors: Relations between Blacks and Jews in the United States" (1999). "Manisha Sinha" received her Ph.D from Columbia University where her dissertation was nominated for the Bancroft Award. She is the author of "The Counterrevolution of Slavery: Politics and Ideology in Antebellum South Carolina" (2000) and several articles in black and southern history. See less
