Peter de Jonge was trained as a clinical psychologist and psychometrician and received his Ph.D. in Psychiatry in 1999. He was appointed Professor of Psychiatric Epidemiology at the University Medical Center Groningen in 2008 and Professor and Head of Developmental Psychology at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands in 2016.
