Peter Robb, FRAS, FRHistS, is Professor Emeritus at SOAS University of London. His first degrees were at the Victoria University of Wellington and his doctorate was from London. He has written or edited numerous books on South Asia, most recently Useful Friendship (2014); Ideas Matter (2020); and Agrarian Development in a Colonial Society: The British and Bihar (2021).
