Paul Davis is the author of a number of Ghost Stories, available as two collections on Amazon Kindle: "The Stained Glass Window and Other Ghost Stories" and its companion volume, "More Ghost Stories." "The Book of the Dead" is his first full length novel. It is the first of a series of detective novels featuring the Egyptian doctor Kaires, based in Alexandria under Roman Rule, in the period following the death of Cleopatra. Coming from a Medical background himself, Paul Davis is also a keen archaeologist who has participated in a number of excavations of important Roman sites, both in Britain and the Mediterranean.
