PAUL D. SIMMONS is clinical professor, Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, and adjunct professor in the department of Philosophy, University of Louisville. His other books include Freedom of Conscience (editor and contributor, 2000); Birth Death: Bioethical Decision Making (1983); Issues in Christian Ethics (editor, 1980); and Growing Up with Sex (1973) now in its ninth edition. He has contributed to twenty books and has more than fifty articles in professional journals.
