Paolo Savona is Chairman of the Italian Companies and Stock Exchange Commission (CONSOB), Minister for European Affairs in the Conte Government and Emeritus Professor of Political Economy at LUISS Guido Carli University, Italy. He has served as Italy's Minister of Industry, Commerce and Handicraft in the Ciampi Government, Secretary General for Economic Planning at the Ministry of the Budget, Chief of the European Policy Department of the Italian Prime Minister's Office, and as Chairman of the Italian Guarantee Scheme (twice).
