Oliver Impey

Oliver Impey (1936-2005) was Senior Curator in the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and Reader in Eastern Art at Oxford University. His research concentrated on the export arts of Japan from the late sixteenth to the early twentieth century, and on their effect in Europe. His publications include Chinoiserie.
