Noson Sternhartz
Reb Noson Sternhartz was born in 1780 in Nemirov, a small town near Breslov in the Ukraine. Despite his parents' wishes he became a serious student of Chassidism and in 1802 found his mentor, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov (1772-1810). In time, Reb Noson became Rebbe Nachman's foremost disciple, as well as his scribe.
