NORMAN JONES, PHD, is Professor of History and Religious Studies at Utah State University. His monographs include Governing by Virtue: Lord Burghley and the Management of Elizabethan England; The English Reformation: Religion and Cultural Adaptation; The Birth of the Elizabethan Age: England in the 1560s; and more.
