Jeffrey Nevid received his Ph.D. from the University at Albany and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in evaluation research at Northwestern University. He has conducted research on the behavioral aspects of health-related problems ranging from smoking to hypertension to HIV/AIDS. His research has appeared in such journals as American Journal of Health Promotion, Journal of Occupational Medicine, Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, Journal of Social Distress and the Homeless, Psychology and Health, AIDS Education and Prevention, Health Psychology, Annals of Behavioral Medicine, Journal of Dentistry for Children, and AIDS Patient Care and STDs. He has also authored several college texts as well as the books, Choices: Sex in the Age of STDs, and A Student's Guide to AIDS and Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases. See less
