Mrs Aeneas Gunn

Mrs Aeneas (Jeannie) Gunn (1870-1961) was born in Carlton, Melbourne and worked as a teacher after graduating from Melbourne University. In 1901 she married the explorer, pastoralist and journalist Aeneas James Gunn. Together they travelled to a remote outback station at Mataranka in the Northern Territory. When her husband died early in 1903, Gunn returned to live in Melbourne.
