As a classically trained singer, Hughes often incorporates song and rhyme into her lessons, bringing music and entertainment into the classroom. Reading Rachel is her second educational children's book, following Magnet Max, which focuses on the attractive world of magnets! As an advocate for early childhood and development, she actively participates at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
