Monalisa Biswal received her M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology Burla and Sambalpur University, Odisha, India, in 2008 and 2013. She is an assistant professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Monalisa Biswal received her M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology Burla and Sambalpur University, Odisha, India, in 2008 and 2013. She is an assistant professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Dr. Biswal is a recipient of the POSOCO Power System Award (2014), DST-SERB Young Scientist Award (2015), and Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Award (2017). She is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), U.S.A., and has published over 90 journal articles, presented papers at conferences, and published several chapters in books. She has one published book and she is the principal investigator of three projects funded by SERB, New Delhi, India, and EriGrid. She has conducted many national level courses, supplied many invited talks and chaired in conferences. Her area of research includes microgrid protection, smart grid, and protection of power network.
