Mike Pease was born and raised in San Francisco, earned his architecture degree from UC Berkeley, and after practicing and teaching in various locations, settled in Eugene, Oregon to teach at the University of Oregon. Art has woven throughout his practice and became a central focus for his professional work, leading to this book as a love letter to drawing that both guides and inspires. Mike Pease is a designer, artist and teacher. With an architecture degree from UC Berkeley, followed by a professional practice and teaching design and drawing at the University of Oregon, Mike's love for drawing, particularly in colored pencil, grew to a career as a professional artist, showing in galleries and venues throughout the Northwest. Mike Pease loves drawing, treasuring the central role it has held for his architecture practice, his teaching at the University of Oregon, and his career as a professional artist. At the core, though, Mike experiences drawing as a way to explore and understand the places around him, leading him to write this book to inspire, and potentially guides, others. See less
